Hey! I'm Max, the Max from To The Max!
With an aim to positively impact as many lives as possible, I set out to create the most optimal personal training experience, and 11 years later here we are!
Using valuable knowledge picked up from my great interests in nutrition, behaviour change, and personal training, I've perfected the coaching experience. You'll have everything needed in place to ensure optimal results.
With education, guidance and the right programme, I believe anything is possible.

As head coach, my mission is to provide a comprehensive, one-on-one holistic experience specifically engineered to bridge the gap between your current lifestyle and your ultimate goals.
Coaching is my passion with over 12 years experience, fuelled by an unwavering attention to detail and a constant pursuit of progress.
Beyond just a training plan, I serve as a foundational pillar of accountability and direction, offering the unconditional support and education necessary to align your daily actions with your desired achievements.
By focusing on consistency, adherence, and the development of new behavioural patterns, we don’t just chase short-term results - we build a sustainable foundation for lifelong success.
As your coach, my goal is to help you become the healthiest, happiest and strongest version of you, whatever that may look like.
Having recently become a busy mum of two, I understand how life can throw hurdles in the way of fitness goals, and i've become pretty good at negotiating those barriers. As a keen fell-runner who also loves to lift heavy metal, i've found that discipline along with a dose of good humour is the best way to approach things.
Following the TTMF process combined with my own personal approach, I will enable you to feel empowered by what your body is capable of and most importantly, make sure you enjoy your personal fitness journey. I look forward to seeing you achieve your results!
I joined the TTMF team after several years of working at a healthcare communications company in both copywriting and account management roles.
I bring a wealth of knowledge relating to exercise and fitness, having been a keen gym-goer and runner for a number of years. Having graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in the life sciences, I always endeavour to apply a methodical and scientific approach to exercise, nutrition and weight loss.
Following the systems and principles of TTMF, I have already helped hundreds of members achieve their results, whether it be weight loss, injury rehabilitation or functional strength. I look forward to seeing you in the gym!
Fitness started as a hobby, and naturally I fell in love with it. I have built a strong passion to help people change their lives in the simplest and most realistic way possible.
My job satisfaction comes from seeing positive results from my clients, both physically and mentally. I love seeing you get happier, more confident & stronger.
Following the processes, systems and using the facilities at TTMF I’m able to coach optimally and allow you to reach the incredible results you expect.
Learning the TTMF process along with the combined knowledge of the other coaches, I have gained so much more understanding of achieving goals.
I am proficient in a range of physiotherapy assessment & treatment techniques, including dynamometer, gait analysis studies, hip and knee X-ray radiological findings, complex muscle stimulation, sports massage level 5, acupuncture, shockwave therapy, and taping. Alongside my BSc, I have also completed British Life Support training.
With private hospital experience, specialising in pre and post op orthopaedic rehabilitation as well as musculoskeletal conditions, I have a special interest in running injuries & screening and I am skilled in running rehabilitation and injury prevention through exercise.
I also have a great interest in competing, and I am proud to have achieved many international HYROX wins, including 2 World Records, alongside multiple national & regional track, road, fell & cross country awards including a 34:17 10k.
I began my journey within the gym to build up my own self confidence & focus my energy into becoming a better version of myself. What I found during the first few months of training was that I had such a passion & enthusiasm for training, the how’s & why’s we do things & the feel good factor that comes with it. This is what led me into becoming a PT, so I can help others feel these benefits to not only help physically but also mentally throughout their life.
I have a good knowledge of resistance training and the principles of nutrition from my time being a competitive natural bodybuilder. Combining this with the systems and team at TTMF I whole heartedly believe we can provide a unique, personalised & enjoyable experience for anyone who wants to achieve results within the gym!
Having been an avid gym goer and footballer from a young age, it only felt right that I ultimately found my true passion as a personal trainer. Having previously studied Sports at York St John’s University, working as a PE teacher and more recently a care worker, I have developed an in depth understanding of the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Having witnessed first hand the adversities in life that young people can face, I have seen the positive effects physical activity plays on wellbeing through to adulthood.
Combining my knowledge and experience with the TTMF systems hand in hand with a fun and empathetic approach, I am more than confident we will make the positive changes to your life and achieve your desired goals. I can’t wait to get working with you!
Fitness has been a big part of my life from a young age - starting with fell running at seven, which grew into national-level competition and representing Yorkshire in the sport. Since then, I’ve explored everything from strength training and boxing to endurance running, and ultimately decided to follow this passion and become a PT.
My love for fitness, paired with a desire to help others experience both the mental and physical benefits of training, is what motivates me. I know every fitness journey is different, and my goal is to help you feel stronger, more confident, and empowered along the way.
